In case you wanted to know who operates BibleMirror.com, I will tell you a little about myself. My name is Joel Williams. I am 25 years old. I am an American-African (I'm white, but I am an American who was born in South Africa, so I have dual citizenship). I have been living and preaching in South Africa for a little over two years now, working primarily with the Zulu and Xhosa speaking people. I have made a couple of short trips to Nigeria with my grandfather to teach classes there.
I am a Christian. Not a Baptist, Methodist, Catholic, or any other denominational type of Christian. I'm just a Christian, reading my Bible to know what Christ wants and putting it into practice and teaching others. For more information, see my article on denominationalism.
I have an Associate of Arts degree from Florida College, a small private university in Tampa, FL. I dropped out of university before I achieved a BA degree because I wanted to preach and was just wasting time getting a BA in Computer Science.
I enjoy software development, having worked in the industry for two and a half years before I moved to South Africa to preach. I am primarily a C# and VB programmer. I also enjoy working on websites. I designed headcoverings.org and knowyourbible.co.za using DotNetNuke. I designed westvillechurchofchrist.com using Python for some backend work and this website is generated on my Ubuntu Linux system using a Python script I wrote so that I can easily use Markdown and other tools to easily write and style my pages. In other words, I'm a geek.
