As I was growing up, my parents instilled in me the need to study the Bible. As I got older, I began to realize that many of my peers - even Christians - didn't seem to read their Bibles on a regular basis. I also fell into that trap for a long time due to being busy with school and then work. When I was in my 3rd year of university, I took advantage of Spring Break to visit my old college in Florida to visit some of my friends there. I found myself with a lot of time to read - I think I read through 3 or 4 New Testament books in that week. I was so encouraged by experience that I decided to quit university because it was taking too much time in return for nothing but a piece of paper that I never expected to use anyway.
After that, I read my Bible much more often but still not every day and not in an organized way - just finding whatever was on my mind at the time. This continued until 2007 when I finally decided that I just have to get a schedule to read through the Bible in a year in an organized way. The schedule I am using comes from OneYearBibleOnline.com but there are many other good schedules out there that will do it in different ways. The reason I chose this one is that it incorporates Old Testament and New Testament readings in the same day as well as Psalms and Proverbs. I have really enjoyed it so far and have not found it difficult to keep up with the reading. I have found that I grow in my knowledge, spiritual life, preaching ability, and other ways much more just from keeping this schedule for reading my Bible every day. I would strongly encourage you to do the same thing.
The resources I have on this website are minimal at the present, but hopefully they can be of some help. I plan to have sermons, articles, tracts, listings of verses on topics, and book reviews available for your viewing.
